Greetings Gracepointe Golfers! Spring is finally here and it’s time for the First Annual GracePointe Spring Fling Golf Tournament. The tournament is being sponsored by the Tribes Men’s Group and will take place at Kings Creek in Spring Hill on May 11th.

• $50/per person – will include lunch
• If we have 40+golfers we will have a shotgun start @8:30am
• Less than 40 will have individual tee times scheduled

The format for this tournament will be a 4 “Person” Captain’s Choice. We will have trophies and prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and last place. We will also have long drive and closest to the pin prizes for certain holes and a hole in one prizes on all par 3′s with a Grand Prize of a Caribbean Cruise awarded for a hole in one on a par 3 to be revealed at the start of the tournament.

This year’s Spring Fling Tournament is open to ALL golfers at GracePointe and ALL friends and family of GracePointe Golfers. No Age or Gender exclusions. We would like to have at least 40 golfers sign up. Kings Creek has agreed to give us a shotgun start and lunch if we can guarantee a minimum of 40 golfers. This years tournament will be handicapped and setup so that every team entering has an opportunity to win. There will be some additional “fun” items thrown in to ensure a great time of fun, fellowship and a very enjoyable round of golf.

Father William

From alcoholism, poverty, and street gangs in the inner-city of Philadelphia, to living and serving among the poorest people in the world in the Bolivian Andes, Bishop William Wilson has learned the ancient ways of union with God in solitude serving “the least of these.” A Trappist monk, missionary, and bishop in the Anglican Church of the Americas, Father William comes to the GracePointe men’s retreat as both a spiritual guide and brother in Christ. His recently published book, FOUR ESSENTIALS: CLASSICAL DISCIPLINES OF CHRISTIAN SPIRITUALITY, is currently receiving glowing reviews.

Rev. William John (B.J.) Weber

For more than a dozen years, B.J. served as Chaplain for the World Series Champions New York Yankees. He is the co-founder of more than 25 inner-city ministries. B.J. has been the volunteer chaplain at his local Engine 16 and Ladder 7 Firehouse ever since that firehouse lost 9 men on September 11, 2001. B.J. also founded the New York Fellowship, an interdenominational ministry providing spiritual direction, counseling and pastoral care to leaders in the business and professional communities of the New York City area. Franklin, Tennessee established a new chapter of this organization in 2011.

Together, these two men will lead us in discovering the Four Spiritual Essentials that every man must discover as he listens to the still, small voice of all mighty God.

Our Tribes gatherings are always about stories. Listen as Mike tells how a kid from a small town in Canada became one of the most sought after Centers in the National Hockey League and winner of the 2012 NHL Foundation Player Award,

Mike is giving his best-selling book Defender of Faith: The Mike Fisher Story to each man coming to the breakfast! We will also raffle of one of Mike’s Predator Jerseys and an autographed Hockey stick.

Zip Line

Zipping is a thrilling adventure with a bird’s eye view! Families, friends, and groups of all kinds love soaring through the trees in our 40-acre forest nestled in a scenic bend of the Harpeth River. Zippers sail through the air on steel cables, secured in a safety harness and attached to a zip pulley system. Guides point out native trees, plants, and wildlife. Zip tours operate year round. Experience zipping during every season!

For those that may not be up for the full (financial and physical) challenge; you are not forgotten. A second group will leave GP around 11:30 for the first ever GP Harpeth Flotilla.

Begin by joining the morning group for lunch and then suiting up for a two hour canoe ride down the Harpeth river.

Foggy Bottom Canoes 1:30 to 3:30pm $30 per boat and $10 each for lunch, drinks and snacks! 2 or 3 to a boat!
